Glass Fused to Steel Tanks

GFS

GFS tanks are bolted structures that combine the strength and flexibility of steel with the excellent corrosion resistance of glass, this is achieved thanks to a high-temperature firing process that creates an inert and inorganic bond between glass and steel, thus offering significant advantages over fusion-bonded epoxy tanks or traditional welded steel tanks painted.

Advantages:

  • Quick Installation: Prefabricated for easy assembly.

  • Low Cost: Minimal maintenance and high profitability.

  • Durability: Lifespan of over 30 years thanks to its corrosion resistance.

  • Customization: Customizable colors for an attractive appearance.

  • Flexibility: Easy expansion, disassembly and relocation.

Applications:

  • Storage of clean water, process water and wastewater.

  • Ideal for the safe storage of biogases in bioenergy, offering excellent sealing properties.

  • Fire water storage.

  • Store fertilizers liquid, pesticides and water for irrigation.

  • Storage of liquids used in mining and wastewater treatment.

Fusion Bonded Epoxy Tanks

With more than 30 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing and construction of GFS modular tanks, Center Enamel has developed an innovative Fusion Bonded epoxy coating technology in collaboration with AkzoNobel, a world leader in paints and coatings. Our epoxy tanks have been well received for their cost-effectiveness and advanced electrostatic spray technology. Fusion bonded epoxy modular tanks meet or exceed AWWA D103-09 and ISO 9227/ASTM B117 standards, ensuring the best quality for our customers.

Advantages

  • Simplified installation: Less equipment and labor required.

  • They do not require cathodic protection thanks to the excellent coverage.

  • High corrosion resistance with long-lasting performance.

  • Can be repainted after service life to prolong life of the product.

  • Superior mechanical strength that minimizes damage during transportation.

  • Easy field repair if damage occurs.

  • High resistance to UV rays, maintaining color and shine.

Applications

Fusion bonded epoxy bolted tanks are ideal for storage of:

  • Drinking water

  • Fire water

  • Sewage

  • Crude Oil

  • Refinery distillates

  • Drilling fluids

They are also suitable for storing brines, acids, alkalis, ethanol, biofuels and vegetable oils.

Galvanized Steel Tanks

Galvanized steel tanks are an economical way of storing liquids and are primarily used for the storage of fire water, drinking water, and irrigation water applications. These tanks are designed strictly to comply with AWWA D103-09 standards and galvanized according to GBT13912-2020 standards.

Advantages:

  • Corrosion, impact and abrasion resistance.

  • The zinc coating protects the steel from wear and extends its service life.

  • It requires little maintenance and replacement.

  • Ease installation

Applications:

Galvanized steel bolted tanks are used to store drinking water, rainwater, and other liquids. They are also used in agriculture and construction projects.

Center Enamel - Roofs Tanks

At Center Enamel, we offer a wide variety of roofs and covers for our tanks, designed to meet and exceed your storage needs. Our ceilings are manufactured with innovative solutions that adapt to different applications.

Types of Roof:

  • GSF Roof: Air-tight roof ideal for anaerobic digestion. These roofs are cone shape constructed with internal/external beams.

  • Aluminum Alloy Deck Roofs: Economical option for tanks storing potable water, wastewater, and firewater storage etc., protecting the product from raining and wind. These roofs are not airtight.

  • Single and Double Membrane Roofs: Ideal option for anaerobic digestion processes and biogas applications. They are airtight and utilized for biogas collection and odor control.

  • FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) Roofs: Suitable for no airtightness required situations such as drinking water, agriculture, fire water, and wastewater storage. Can be constructed as dome or flat shapes.

Tanks Ancillaries

At Center Enamel, we offer a wide range of ancillaries for our tanks, designed to support both new projects and existing tanks. Our ancillaries are ideal for different applications.

Roof Handrails

The handrails can be partial (1/4 or 1/2 of the perimeter of the roof) or total and its function is to provide safety to the operating or inspection personnel.

Walkways: Walkway with railings or bridge connecting several tanks.

Manway (Access Hatch)

Allows access to the inside of the tank. Materials: Galvanized Steel (HDG), SS304, SS316 and FRP.

Connections

They facilitate the internal or external connection of the tank with pipes and indicators. Materials: Galvanized Steel (HDG), SS304, SS316 and FRP.

Stairs and Ladders:

We have several types of ladders made of galvanized steel (HDG), SS304, SS316 and FRP.:

  • Vertical ladder with cage

  • Spiral stairs

Platforms

The platforms are placed in the middle or top of the spiral stair or ladder, providing a space to rest and/or maintenance. We also have a circumferential walkway located approximately 1.2 meters below the top ring, these are usually found in anaerobic digesters. The circumferential walkway will provide convenient and safe access for operators and additionally makes the installation of the membrane roof easier and safer. Materials: Galvanized Carbon Steel (HDG), SS304, SS316 and FRP.
