Aluminum Geodesic Dome Roof

Internal Floating Roof Pontoon Type

It is a non-contact product cover. This innovative structure is composed of a set of metal membranes that are fixed to a beam grid. These beams, in turn, are mounted on an arrangement of interconnected tubular pontoons, which guarantee the buoyancy of the roof. Made from aluminum alloys, stainless steel, or a combination of both, these covers are presented as the most economical option to reduce emissions. However, its disadvantage must be considered that, in the event of a fire, according to NFPA 11, it is necessary to protect the entire surface of liquid.

Seals for Floating Roof

Floating roof seals are crucial elements in the design of floating roof tanks for the storage of volatile products, as they help minimize evaporation losses. Floating roofs are designed with a smaller diameter than the tank, which creates an annular space that allows them to move freely with the level of the stored liquid. To optimize the efficiency of the system, it is essential to use seals that not only reduce losses in this space, but also dampen or absorb horizontal movements of the roof, as well as variations in the tank shell and its contraction or expansion. The proper installation of these seals, both on internal and external floating roofs, is essential to guarantee the integrity of the storage and the safety of the operation. Floating Roof Drain System

The floating roof drain system is essential for rainwater management, as it allows the adequate drainage of the water collected on the roof. This mechanism not only ensures the buoyancy of the roof, but also prevents the collapse or sinking of the roof due to an overload due to accumulated water.

3+1 Articulated Type Roof Drain System

Articulated type drain systems are made up of steel tubes and mechanical joints (flexible oscillating joints or swivel joints), designed to withstand the forces that may be causing various operating conditions. The system typically incorporates high-strength joints, but several alternatives are available to meet customer requirements.

WB's patented twin access seal drain system can be used as a rubber hose movement type on storage tank roofs.

Swivel Joint

The fully sealed WB swing joint is specially designed for the service of submerged liquids, such as the articulated pipe drain system, oil skimmers and floating suction lines.

Hose Type Drain System

This system allows for the fastest drainage of water through the hose, allowing maximum drainage of rainwater in the shortest possible time. The flexible and easy-to-handle hose is used inside the storage tanks, to drain the water on the floating roofs. Specifically designed to ensure the repeated same hose placement pattern to prevent collision between the tank's internal components (floating roof leg, leg guard, etc.)
